Obituary ________ Theodore Alston Theodore Alston, 54, 293 Clinton SE, died at 1:05 a.m. today in Trumbull Memorial Hospital, following a three-month illness. Born July 8, 1913, in Kenly, N.C., he was the son of Lazarus and Annie Bowden Alston. A resident here 17 years, coming from Washington, D.C., he was employed by the Erie Lackawana Railroad. He was a member of Second Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Burma A. Alston, whom he married Feb. 23, 1956; two daughters, Mrs. Irene Joyner of Kenly, Mrs. Jean Joyner of Philadelphia, Pa.; a son, Theodore of Newark, N.J.; a foster daughter, Barbara Knight Edwards; six sisters, Mrs. Louise Edwards, Mrs. Annie Bryant, Mrs. Frances Hinnant, all of Newport News, Va., Mrs. Mallie McPhail of Kenly, Mrs. Maggie Thomas of Washington, D.C., Mrs. Irene Purvis of Albany, N.Y.; and 14 grandchildren.
