Am looking for information on the John Alston who married Elizabeth Horger. Elizabeth was born about 1829 in the Orangeburgh District, Orangeburgh, South Carolina. He & Elizabeth appear to have moved to Newton, Texas, as he is listed as a Fellow Crafts in the Early Masonic Lodge, Newton Lodge #136, Newton, Newton County, Tx, return dated 27 Dec 1854.
