My gg grandfather was Seth Thomas Alston
of Chattahoochee county Ga.He was married
to Maude of which little is know except
that she was full blood cherokee, Seth
himself was half chreokee as the family
stories go . They had the following
children,Henry russell(1865),Thomas,Oren,
Luther,Lex,Marshall,Lester,Hattie,Fanny,
Maude and lilly . My grandfather was
Henry . It is known that Henry and Oren
left Ga. abt. 1890 and married cherokee
girls before settling in ark.
It is believed that Maude stayed in Ga.
and married Walter Eugene Howell .
It is also known that one of the girls
died at a young age of Rabes but we are
not sure which one .
I believe that the Marshall you are looking
for is probably of this family..Will try to
congfirm this and advise....Elmer
