The information on John Alston who married
Charity Alston Jones was abstracted from
Tennessee DAR records.
I cannot however, locate any information
on John Alston's military record who was
a private in the N.C. line.
Somewhere I read that Absolom Alston his son,
either applied for a land grant in Tennessee,
or gave specific information about his parents John Alston of Wake Co., N.C. and
Charity Alston Jones.
