I am descended from both the Alston and Banks
families and have books about both.
James Banks, b.4 Aug 1770 in Granville Co.,NC
son of Thomas Banks and Betty White, married
Charity Alston b. in Orange Co.,NC, daughter
of James Alston, Jr. and Grizel Yancey. Both
families moved to Elbert Co., GA after the
Revolutionary War.
