Patricia,

I was roaming around the internet and saw your post from 2007.

I grew up in Temple, having been born there in 1942. I think that My grandfather and your grandfather were brothers. Granddad was William Albert Alston and his father was John Alston. Albert came from Arkansas. My dad was Herman Buford Alston and had 3 sisters - all 4 are deceased. I remember dad talking about Homer, JC, Vernon and Kenneth.

I now live in South Carolina and have tried without success to connect the Alstons from the coastal area with the ones that went to Texas from Arkansas.
