Hi Charlene,

Since I first entered the data on Alston-Yancey line, I have made two permanent household moves and almost all my documentation is now either gone, in deep storage or hopelessly jumbled. I also don't remember the details of where I got the information, but since I have the exact date and place of their marriage, some documentation must exist somewhere. My records show that James Alston died in Elbert County, GA in 1815, and his wife Grizel died 8 Nov 1845 in Culloden, GA. His brother John died in 1814 in Orange County, NC. His brother William, who married Charity Alston, also moved to Elbert County, GA. Hope this helps a little. Good luck and good hunting!
