Thanks for your reply to my message. Yes, this sounds like the one I am looking for. You don't need to share any of this, but do you have documentation that he is the one who was married to Grizel and not a son or nephew? I'm thinking of deeds or a will or something. My primary interest is in James's brother John, but knowing where James went after he left Orange Co. NC will help me make some further family connections.
