There were apparently two John Alstons who immigrated to America - one to NC and one to SC. Which one are you referring to? I take it you have read Dr. Joseph A. Groves' book, "The Alstons and Allstons of North and South Carolina", published in Atlanta in 1901. If not, start there. I (and several others I stay in contact with) have extensive files on the descendents of both John Alstons, and are always willing to share information with anyone.
