Col John Alston England to Carolinas
Posted by: Edward Stump Date: February 04, 1999 at 03:24:43

Looking for data on the immigration of Col John Alston and source/proofs of his link to the English Alston line. Some have said he came over as an indentured servant of a merchant. I am searching for anything that makes him more 3 dimentional, such as reason for and ship of immigration, occupation, stories/legands/scandals,
family connections/proofs, wife's line, war record etc. etc. The actual date (late 1600s or early 1700s) remains elusive. Also sources/ proofs regarding the prominent English line are important.
Thank you, Ed Stump
