Would like to connect w/ Alston family researchers to sort out of a few things. James Alston b 1769 had a son Philip Henry Alston and a son Willis W. Alston. I have someone in the family I am researcher who married cousins, 1st a son of Philip Henry's (Robert H Alston Jr), then a son of Willis W. Alston's (William H Alston, Rusk Co TX).

Robert H. Alston b. 1836 had a son Robert H. Alston Jr born 1859. I don't know when Robert H. Alston Sr' died as his gravestone has no date of death, but Robert H Alston Jr is found living with his grandpa Philip and Eliza M in the 1870 census for Houston County TX, along with a sister Virginia a couple yrs older. Am wondering why? Never found out who Robert H Alston Jr married.
The grandson of Philip Henry Alston and Eliza 'M' married Mollie Mary Cabiness in 1880 (after the census). Mollie was the d/o James A. Cabiness b. 11 Mar 1818 and his wife Martha (Calhoun) Cabiness b. 1 Mar 1818 GA. They married in Houston Co. TX. In the 1900 census, Mollie Mary (Cabiness) Alston says they had 5 children, only 1 living. That one 'living' was Willie Augusta Alston born 13 Aug 1887 in Huntsville, Walker Co. TX. She married Lonnie Dee Warren in 1907 in Huntsville, Walker Co. TX. (I have found so far only two of the other 4 children Mollie said died).
Lonnie Dee Warren born 26 Nov 1881 was the son of Uriah George 'Duncan' Warren and his wife Jackebed Pace. He was 2nd to the eldest.
I would like to connect with Alston family researchers to sort some things out. Mollie Mary (Cabiness) Alston's husband Robert H. Alston Jr died before 1900. Mollie Alston then remarried in 1890 (according to Family Bible of Willie Augusta Alston) to his cousin, William H. Alston, the son of Willis W. Alston. Both Robert H. Alston SR and Willis W. Alston were sons of James Alston born 10 Nov 1769. While there is no 1890 census and so far no records to prove date of this 2nd marriage to the Alston cousin, they must have divorced. William H Alston was still alive until 1938 but living with his sister in Rusk Co. TX.
I have some old photos and am looking for others of Robert H Alston Jr or William H Alston or these two specific branches.
