Thomas, I've been out of town for a long while. I had just located the information I posted. Still looking for more information on Alsabrooks. I have some very sketchy data on an Amos Alsobrook in the 1820 Jones Co., Ga. census who bought land there in 1809.
Martha's husband is listed as Fred George. I believe he is Frederick Francis George from North Carolina. Fred's family is in the 1850 Travis Co., Tx. census. He is 58. His five children were all born in Georgia. The oldest, William was 26; James, 23; Scharlett (sic), 19; Delila, 16; and Martha, 15. From his age, William was born about 1823-5; which could support Martha Alsabrook being his mother. Fred George & family were in the 1840 Cobb Co., Ga. census. Martha apparently died in 1837, shortly after the youngest's birth. I have more on Fred George's daughters, if you are interested. The youngest daughter, Martha, is my gggrandmother. Gene
