Hi Renee,
I think the James Alsobrook family I'm interested in is different although I'm sure we all connect back there somewhere!
This James Alsobrook had a middle initial of "A." and in the Texas Death Index he is simple listed "J.A. Alsobrook".
He was born around 1863 in Florida but was in Caldwell County, Texas by the 1880s.He and his wife Mary Alice Smith married in 1885 and they had about ten children: Sallie born ca. 1885 in TX;
Minnie born ca. 1890 in TX;
Voldine (Valdean or Voll Dean)born ca. 1895 in TX;
Pearlie born ca. 1897 in TX;
Georgia B. born ca. 1900 in TX;
Emma [?]born ca. 1903 in TX;
Albert born ca. 1906 in FL;
Beulah born ca. 1908 in FL and married George Carlson, I believe;
Mary Alice born and died in TX in 1912; and
Andrew born ca. 1914 in TX.
Mary Alice died in Navarro County July 2, 1929 and is listed as "Alyce Alsabrook" in the TX Death Index.She is buried in Pursley, (Navarro Co, TX)
James died in Limestone County on 14 April 1932 and is buried in Mexia City Cemetery.
Good luck with your search!
Sandra
