Ok, I found it....

East of Manchester in the Saddleworth area.
A place called Alphin in an area called Alphin pike.
Not very close to ports that would be trading with the Dutch or any others and no explanation of origin....yet
lots of Alphin roads and Alphin Brooke roads in this general area.
I'll post the link with the picture as soon as I can.
