Bertha Marie Almquist

I am seeking information about the ALQUIST branch of my family. I believe that my great great grandmother, Matilda ALMQUIST (I assume that was her married name and I also assume she was widowed) came with her two (or two of her) children to New York about 1886. My great grandmother, Bertha Marie ALMQUIST was about 12 years old at that time. Her brother Axel came too. I don't know if he was younger or older. Matilda worked as a maid for a family in New Rochelle. The family also had Irsh maids. I thought the town they came from in Sweden was called Tidelholm but I was unable to find any mention of a town of that name on the Swedish map. Can anyone help me out or head me in a direction?
Thank you very much for your time!
