ALLYN; Willsey;Baker;Taylor --NY>WI>MN
Looking for any info. on JOHN ALLYN, who "...came into Northern NY and settled on Lake Ontario, near Sacket's Harbor, when that was a wild and unbroken wilderness. His two sons, William Gillman Allyn and Henry, and his three daughters, Mary [Taylor], Mercy Jane[Willsey], and Adelia [Baker], came with him later and settled for a time in the WI forests, when that was a wilderness, and in 1855 when Faribault was just a few log shanties, the oldest son, William, came and settled four miles east of where Janesville is now located..."
John Allyn was married to Elizabeth/Betsey (b.abt. 1800 in Vermont, d.1872 in MN)with a possible connection to the last name Eastman.
