Hi,

I know David Allyn very well. I got him back singing with his big band in 1990 and have known him since. I have all of his recordings and got to know who he was because I am a huge dick haymes fan. I feel david had the same honest approach but was more of a jazz baladeer. I last saw david sing at Danny's skylight room several years back when he was around 80. As far as I know he still sings and sang in Europe not too long ago. If you need to contact me, I am at haymes@msn.com

God Bless

Paul

PS: He named Darby after the character mentioned in The Folk Who Live On The Hill.
