Allyn, Robert & Samuel CT 1700's

I'm not related to the Allyns but I wanted to pass on what I found in "The Diary of Joshua Hempstead" (Colonial New London, CT) book. On page 98 dated 12 July 1720, is an entry: "Samuel Allyn 6 children baptized Stephen, John, Mary, Hannah, Elizabeth, & Eunice." In the book I didn't find his wife's name. There are several Allyns listed and one is a Robert Allyn--in the index he is on many pages--whether there was more then one Robert--I don't know. I did find this tidbit on page 57; "Robert Allyn is sent to prison. Shot John Pelton right arm & breast arm cut off at shoulder to save life". The date of entry is 31 Aug 1716.
