My Browns settled in Pope and Scott Co. Arkansas, but the only Allred I am aware of in that general vacinity was a descendant of Solomon Allred of Tennessee.

The known children of Rachel Allred Brown and her husband Robert Brown of Randolph Co. N.C. are James, Robert, John b. 1780, William b. 1781, and Isaac. b. 1783. There were probably several daughters, likely at least four, one of these, family tradition says, was named Elizabeth (no documentation).

Robert Brown and wife Rachel made a Deed of Gift to my ancestor John Brown about 1805 in Franklin Co. Ga. on Middle Fork of Broad River, 575 acres.

On one of Robert Brown's deeds, William Allred (Rachel's brother)signs as a witness, on another of Robert Brown's deeds John Allred (William Allred's son)signs as a witness.

In 1804, a record of "four mile purchase" residents lists the households of Robert Brown, William Brown, James Brown, William Allred, Moses Allred and James Allred (son of William). Tax lists and deeds of that same period list Moses Allred, William Allred, and John Allred.
