The Bureau of Land Management has land records available for viewing and downloading (original record)at www.glorecords.blm.gov It stipulates that a special viewer is needed, but I use MSWord to view the record by starting a new document and pressing INSERT, going down to PICTURE and selecting the directory I downloaded the image to. The images are in .tif format. Records are available all the way back to 1820. Problem is that the number of states are very limited that the records are available for. Dave
