I have Margaret "Peggy" Chaney (dau. of Francis & Sarah) married to Theophilis Alred not JOHN. When John died in 1792, he did not list a widow, but Margaret was still living in 1790 (as a widow, presumably, head of household) and in 1800.

Another question? Who was Elizabeth, sister of John, Solomon, Thomas and William? I have never heard of her.

By the way, my husband's father was Rulon Allred, editor of ALLRED FAMILY IN AMERICA. I don't know a great deal but did spent about 4 years of intense Allred research, though haven't done much lately on them.

There was a John Albread who died in the mid-1700s. I have a little information on that. In the same court (same date), Thomas' surname was also spelled Albread. Interesting.
