I am an accredited genealogist and live in Missouri. I have worked on some of the Allreds who lived here during the 1800s. I would be interested in doing some research on your James (no cost to you). I was raised in Minnesota. Odd migration route -- the climate is so much better here.

Did he stay in MN?

There were several regions in MO where Allreds settled, each coming here from a different place. I know a little about most of them and hope I can be of some help.
