Looking for information about Francis Marion Allred (aka Cotton Eye Joe Allred, Cot Allred), m. Nancy Illinois Buchanan, had a daughter Minerva Ann Allred. Minerva married Josiah Manoah Stone about 1882-1887, probably in Illinois, but possibly in Missouri or Kentucky. They lived in Illinois in 1887, Missouri in 1890, Illinois in 1892, Missouri in 1899 and perhaps until 1904 (based on where their children were born).

Josiah and Minerva were my great grandparents. I'd appreciate any help jump-starting my search with more information about either of them.
