The 1769 will of Robert Allison is posted in several places including this forum, but does anyone have an actual image of the original will? My main interest is in the four witnesses and how they signed and made their marks:
Alexander McClure
Arthur McCluer
Joseph Walker Jr.
Joseph Walker
Most transcriptions show that Alexander McClure made a mark, but could someone describe it? And did Arthur McClure really sign his name and did he really spell his surname "McCluer"?
