Dr. Ira Allison was a child of Josephine Wilkerson and Dr. Allison. He had no children. He had one full brother Dr. Dwight Allison who had one son, Dwight Marion. Their father, the first Dr. Allison died young of pneumonia. Josephine remaried and George Merrick and had three other children, Ester who married Joe Earl Hurst, Champ who married Tressa Britain, and Irene who married Harry N. Hudgings. Josephine was one of four children of William Crocket Wilkerson and Celia Dean
The others being Tom who married Matilda Box, Dr. Dack, and Dr. Champ.
Josephine is buried at Johns Chapel near Ash Grove.
Tom, Dack and Champ are burried in Halltown Cemetary.
Dr. Ira had his office on the NE corner of Park Central Square in Springfield.
