The only Samuel Allison I can find in the 1880 census soundex of ILL is a Samuel A. Allison, child of George W. and Sarah Allison of Douglas Co., IL (the co. right next to Champaign). George was b. IL about 1855 and Sarah was born about 1856 in IND. They had an older son William age 4 that year. Sound right?
