Merry Christmas everyone.
My name is Becky Howell and I am researching the following
Haywood County lineages: Allison/Ellison/Aleson, Howell, Leatherwood, Queen, McNabb, Gibson/Gipson, Smith, Lee, Prater/Prather, Frady, Radford, Goforth, Lackey, Haney, Sutton, Osbourne, Plott, Campbell, Crawford, Rice, Henry, Owen, Justice, Reno, Locust, Jones, Dockery, and Morrow.
If anyone of those lineages wishes to contact me, I will be happy to exchange information with you.........and, I promise you, I will NOT mislead you by sending you information from the "Annals of Haywood County" by W.C. Allen. In one sentence in the Allison chapter of that book, Mr. Allen managed to send several generations of researchers on the worst kind of wild goose chase.
