Sorry to bear bad news, but you've picked up bad claims that are rampant on the the Internet. Hope this helps and hope the corrections are welcomed. For example, BENJAMIN ALLISON, JR. who moved to Habersham/ White County, Georgia did NOT marry a Cassandra BIRD. Her maiden name is unknown. That was a bad guess decades ago that was published and is now a rampant claim. The individual who guessed is now in her mid 90's and admitted a few years ago that is was all wrong, that it was conjecture that was baseless. BTW: Benjamin and Cassandra were my gggg aunt and uncle. Also, there is NO marriage for them in Maryland. Incidentally, it was Benjamin's sister-in-law who was CASSANDRA BIRD ALLISON, not his wife. Also, he had a nephew who married a "CASSIE" BIRD. Another correction, Benjamin and Cassandra _______ Allison did NOT have a son named WILLIAM WILSON ALLISON. Again, that's bad data that has been widely published around White County, GA but is negated by the only surviving record (I have a copy) that states his name more fully. In that record he is WILLIAM I. ALLISON. This problem is the work of another early researcher who guessed and guess wrong. There's debate on this, but the only record known to exist seems to be pretty clear and his initial is NOT a "W" in that record. Are you a family member of CALLIE ALLISON JARRELL? I have several cousins I know well who are from Callie's family who would be interested to know of you. BTW: The vast majority of the Allisons noted in your post have no connections to the White County, GA line. Michael Allison Notify Administrator about this message?
