Hello Christopher,
I regret to say that I do not have any infor regarding the burial of John S. Allhands.I did however, find John S.)B. abt 1800) son of Daniel Allhands Sr. and Patience Saddler on 1840 Census in Ripley Cty, IN (father and 2 brothers were in Montgomery Cty)
I located him again on 1870 Census with wife listed as Mary (b. abt 1801). They were in Jackson Township, Ripley Cty, IN
They has an 8 yr old boy with them, John C. Becraft. I'm not sure who he is.William Becraft age 14 was in Center Township with William and Mary A. Shane and Franklin becraft age 12 was in Jackson Township also with Hiram & Catharine Eaton.I have wondered if these boys are brothers and possible orphans and would like to know if they are related somehow.
Anyhow,
We hail from John S.'s brother Daniel Jr. and his first wife Sarah Brady.
Is this the same John S. Allhands that you mention married Margaret Winter in 1844?If so, would you be willing to share what info you have on them?
Sincerely,
Shannon L. Allhands
