Hi Deb!Unfortunately I have no info on Sarah other than this: (Taken from the House of Allhands by J.L.Allhands) There is a small cemetery in Vermilion County, Illinois, five miles southwest of Danville, near the Kickapoo State Park which is officially known as the 'Allhands Cemetery'. That plot has been carved out of a tract of land entered by Daniel Allhands (possibly Daniel Jr.), and who acquired same by Patent from the United States Government on March 3, 1854. There are only a few leaning head stones in that forgotten and neglected city of the dead, among them being a marker for Sarah, wife of Daniel Allhands. and this: (Shared with me from other searchers - it was either D.Allhands or H.Wilson)CHRISTIAN B ALLHANDS NEAR WMSBURG,IN (THINK HE WAS ACTUALLY BORN IN BUTLER CO,OH) 04 AUG 1845 son OF SAMUEL (ACTUALLY DANIEL) AND SARA ALLHANDS: DD 11 JUL 1912 AGE 67 YR 11 MO 7 DAYS
WAS PRIV IN COK 150 REG IL VOLUNTEER INF DURING CIVIL WAR 06 FEB 1865 / 16J AN 1866
MARRIED JUL (ACTUALLY MAY) 1866 TO JOSEPHINE WILSON: 5 BOYS ALMOND/ALONZO/LEMUEL(D15APR1904) /RONEY/CLAUDE: 5 GIRLS KATE HUER/NELLIE HODGES/FANNIE SHAY/JENNIE ALLHANDS
"WITH HIS ONLY BROTHER, MARSHALL J OF PENFIELD TO MOURN HIS LOSS"......Christian was my husband's GGrandfather born in 1847 and was the son of Daniel and Sarah. His sister Elizabeth was also their daughter being born in 1840. However, Daniel was married three more times and not knowing the birth dates of the remaining four children, it's hard to pin point who their mother's were. All of the children were listed in his 4th wife's obit as her step-children (4th wife was Elizabeth Wilson) If you do come across info re: Sarah Brady I'd be happy to hear of it! Good Luck and Happy Searching!
