SEMINOLE, Fla. - John William "Bill" Allgood Sr., 77, of Seminole, formerly of Springfield, died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006, at Seminole Nursing Pavilion.
He was born Sept. 6, 1929, in Springfield, the son of John and Mary Lucille Antenan Allgood. He married Catherine K. McLaughlin in 1950; she died in 1975. He married Lula Best-Spencer; she died in 2005. A son, John W. Allgood Jr., also preceded him in death.
Mr. Allgood was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War. He retired as a machinist from Fiatallis. He was a member of Eagles Aerie 437. He was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors: daughter, Cathy (husband, Bob) Davis of Rochester; stepdaughter, Luana Froschauer of Lincoln; stepson, Ronald (wife, Estella) Wanless of Fontana, Calif.; three grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; a niece; and a nephew.
Services: 10 a.m. Friday, Staab Funeral Home, the Rev. Anthony Schmidt officiating. Burial: Calvary Cemetery.
