Henry R(obert) Allgood was the son of William Henry Allgood and Sarah Royal Allgood. Henry R. was married to Elizabeth Shore dau. of John Shore and Margret (Gross? or Groce?). The Allgood family moved to Surry Co., N.C. (Yadkin Co. was once part of Surry, I think.) from Mecklenburg Co. VA. William Henry Allgood was a soldier in the American Revolution. His pension application contains interesting account of his activities in the war. By the way, John Shore was the son of Frederick Shore and grandson of Friedrich Schor(1706-1773) and Margaretha Schneider(1708-1750) who died on the boat over here from Switzerland.
