I am interested in any information regarding John Allgood &
Sarah Willis Allgood. John & Sarah were married in Mecklenburg Co., Va, later moved to Elbert Co., Ga. They may have lived in Paulding Co., Ga and Walton Co., Ga. Thanks in advance for sharing. Bill

Know men by these presents that we John Allgood and Sarah Allgood wife of said John Allgood of Elbert County & State of Georgia have made ordained authorized, nominated and appointed and by these presents do make ordain authorize nominate and appoint Robert Burton of Mecklenburg County and State of Virginia, our true and lawful attorney for us and in our names and for our proper use and benefit, to act demand sue for, recover and receive of and from the administrator or administratrix of William Willis dec'd of Mecklenburg County and State of Virginia, our proportionable part of the above dec'd Estate both real and personal, to have use and take all lawful ways and means in our names or otherwise for the recovery thereof by attachment arrest distress and otherwise and to compound and agree for the same & acquittances or other sufficient discharges for the same for us and join our name to make seal and deliver and to do all other lawful acts & things whatsoever Concerning the premises as fully and in every respect, as we ourselves might or could do were we personally present at the closing thereof, & atto...nes ... or more ... him for the purpose aforesaid to make and again at his pleasure to revoke, ratifying and Confirming, and by these presents allowing whatsoever over said attorney shall in our name lawfully do or cause to be done in and about the premises by virtue of these presents. In Witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals the this 12th day of November 1805.
