I just recently found the Alley forum and noticed this posting about Erasmus Alley when I was searching for information about my Grandmother Lillie Della Alley and her father (my Great grandfather) Washington T. Alley. I notice that Washington is mentioned as one of the children of Erasmus. We were aware of Washington's brothers Phillip and Granville, so we must be talking about the same family. Washington and his wife Margaret Sinclair Alley as well as my Grandmother Lillie Della Alley Coffey are buried in Stilesville in Putnam Co., Indiana. This posting mentions that Erasmus probably died in 1811. I would like to point out that if Washington, Phillip and Granville Alley are among his children he couldn't have died in 1811 because Washington wasn't born until 1842. Any input from others would be appreciated.
