My Alleys came from Canada, shown on the IA 1880 census. It's indicated that they immigrated or became citizens around 1878. My ggrandfather Dave Alley was born Sep 1874, his father also David was born Jul 1837. The older David's wife appears as Hannah on one census and Anna on another. The 1880 census also indicates that the older David's father was born in Canada and his mother in VT.

My Dave's siblings include Lewis, Hannah, Elizabeth Lizzie, and Nancy Nellie. They were living in Leroy, Bremer Co., IA in 1880. Dave married Rosa before 1898 in IA. Their children include Viola, Olive, Eva, Leslie Taps, Chester Chet, Arnold and Clayton.

Viola and Olive were born in IA the rest of the children were born in WI. The family was living in Birnamwood, Shawano Co., WI on the 1900 Census.

There was a David (b.1801) and Lydia Alley living in WI that are the right age for David's parents, but I have found no record of this couple having a child named David.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
