I just received from a Civil War buff friend..copies (not of originals) of the land auctions notices of Moses F. and Eli from the Petersburg paper. My friend included in his letter history of the road that ran by the property..and I'll be glad to email that to you..
I don't know who Moses' father was but Abraham and Mary Griffin appear to be the parents of Orville, Mary, Eli, Hudson and Betsey..perhaps Moses was the son with a different mother..not mentioned. the 1860 census shows Eli
, M.F, and Hudson on the same sheet.
