Does anyone have a birthdate or birth year for Emily Meek Monohon who married Jonathan Alley in Marion Co., IA? I find that in any of the census that I have seen her age does not reflect on her obit. She was my 3rd great grandmother. Also I have seen that Jonathan died in Indiana. Does anyone know where or when? I know that Emily died in Decatur Co., IA and is buried at Terre Haute Cem. next to her son my gggrandfather George Washington Alley. there is no stone for her there. But as I was going through the census's I found that she was considerably younger than Jonathan and I believe I read she had children by a previous husband by the name of monohon. Did those children grow to be Monohon's or Alley's? I also have the obit for Emily and it says she was 103 yrs of age when she died and according to the census's she was no where near 103. I have her born in maybe 1824 or somewhere around that time period. I hope someone could help me. I am just starting on the Alley side of the family and ran into this and I would like everything to be correct before I document anything. Also does anyone have info on their children together. I seen in 1850 and 1860 that children I found were Zacharia Taylor, Harvey, George Washington, and a Thursie or something like that. I am desended from George W.. thanks, for any help that you can give.
