According to "Alley Ancestors", John Heywood Alley b.1778 w. Urcilla !790-1838
Md. 1810, was the son of Shadrick Alley
b.1751-Va. and Mary, besides what you know about Shadrick, informationsays he also fought in the war of 1812. Shadrick is also listed as Cedric,Shade,or Shadrack. He was a RW soldier, serving eight enlistments. Son of Winifried Alley b. 1727 in Va.(also listed as Winefritt) Married James Denton 1770-1855 Md.:1791. Winifried was the daughter of Abraham Alley 1680-1760 and Mary 1700-1761 from here it gets foggy can give you information and you can draw your own conclusions
