We have an Alley line from that area of Canada. My husband's 2nd gt. grandmother's sister, Catherine Gifford md. Jeremiah Alley in Trenton, Ontario, ca 1848. They migrated to Dane Co., WI ca 1850, and to Iowa ca 1865. Their oldest son was named Elias--other children were given the names: Alexander, William John, Enos, George Charles, and Electa (Enos and Electa are Gifford names.)
