There is further clarification of Jonathan Allen and his wife Alancy Ellen Smith Allen found in this link, from the great NEGenWeb Project Online Library Resource Center.
The book is: Biographical Album of Lancaster County, page 700. The link is:

Scroll down to page 700 to read about Richard Wallingford and his wife Eliza Allen. Eliza Allen was the daughter of John Allen and Alancy Ellen Smith.Alancy was the daughter of Elijah and Lydia Rose Smith.
Richard and Eliza's children are named.
From Lydia Rose, I was able to link the Rose family to the Original Nine families.
Please take note of the information about the father of John Allen. He was cousin to Ethan Allen, just as my great grandmother has lined out in her notes.I have all of John (Jonathan in my great grandmother's notes), listed, also by her own hand.
I appreciate so much the work of the NEGenWeb Projects. It was so very exciting to learn about Richard Wallingford, John Allen along with his son Hiram, (my great grandmother's father and great grandfather), and others, as they decided how and where to make the settlement of the beginning of the NE territory.
Many thanks to the workers of the NEGenWeb Projects.
