I'm looking for anything on Dr Joram Allen. Born in Connecticut around 1785, married Maria Hinckley, daughter of Col. Orramell Hinckley and Lydia Strong in Thetford VT, he lived there for some time, moved to Lockport NY and eventually Defiance Ohio in 1837, he was one of the first doctors in Defiance. Maria Hinckley died in 1811, they had one son (at least), Orramell Hinckley Allen, Joram later married Maria's sister Lydia, and had a few more sons and daughter's. Looking for parents and birthplace of Joram. My family always thought he was the son of Ethan Allen, which I know is not true.
