Looking for info on Ezra ALLEN of NY and Katherine LOVEL of Scotland. My guess is that they were born betweeb 1800-1820.

I have plenty of info on their son, Elijah, who was my 2nd great grandfather. He was born in KY in 1843, served in the Civil War, married and raised his family in OH (around/between Cincinnati and Dayton) from about 1861-1916. Elijah never shows up in the census with his parents. I have copies of his Civil War pension application file, but everything that discusses his birthplace or parents was left blank. I believe he is living with a Samuel CRAMAR/CRAMER family in Brown County, OH in 1850. This leads me to think something may have happened to Ezra and/or Katherine before 1850. There were severe cholera outbreaks in this area around this time.

The only info I "know" of Ezra and Katherine are their names and places of birth from Elijah's death certificate. I have found several possible Ezra Allens: 1830 Fed Census in Brown County, OH; 1840 Fed Census in Greenup, KY; 1864 death in OH. So far, I've not yet been able to find enough details to connect this info to my Ezra.
