According to Pat Allen, wife of Thomas Allen, grandson of Thomas Lafayette AllenIn 1634, Thomas Allen (1613-1648) sailed to the American colonies aboard either The Ark or the Dove and settled in Charles County MD. His son William (1636-1669) married Mary Munn. John Allen Sr (b 1662) married ? Lambert and among their children was John Jr who married Catherine ? and moved to King George County VA. Their son, George Sr (1715-1805) married Rebecca Giles (d 1755) and moved to Warren County, NC. They had four sons: John (1734), George Jr (1743-1836), Robert and William. George Jr married Lucretia Reaves. George II was born in 1776, the year of the American Revolution, and married Sally Ray. They moved to Wake County NC and had a son they named George Washington Allen.
George Washington Allen was born November 12,1802 in NC and died May 24, 1864 in Hickman Co, TN. On January 21, 1824, he married Elizabeth (Betsy) Beasley on January 20, 1824 in Williamson Co, TN. Elizabeth was born May 21,1801 in North Carolina and died January 30, 1874 in Hickman Co, TN. They were both buried in Hickman CO, TN.

William Thomas married Mary Paralee Beasley September 20, 1848. Their children included John Henry, March 14, 1851. John Henry Allen married Delana Jane Booker on July 7, 1871. They lived in Hickman Cy TN where Thomas Lafayette Allen was born July 11 1883 d. 1957 Fulton KY Thomas (Tom) married Mary Thompson (1/23/1886-5/17/1947)the daughter of Abner (Ab) and Laura (Latta) Thompson. She was born in Hickman, KY and grew up in Water Valley. One of their children was Margaret b 1910 d 1980. Margaret married Emil Johnson in 1929 and was the mother of my wife Margaret Grace Johnson Thurman.
