Archibald Allen Martha Hatfield HYPOTHESIS
I'm looking for the parents of Martha Hatfield (born 1768,) who married Archibald Allen (born 1751.)According to other researchers they married in Meade, Kentucky.I see that everyone else is in the same boat that we don't have Martha Hatfield's parents' names.
Something I found interesting is that there was an Archibald Allen Hatfield born 1826, in New Jersey who died in Orange County, Indiana. That is close to where the Allens lived for a time, and where my MaryAnn Allen Williams died.Could he (AA Hatfield) have been named after my Archibald Allen who married a Hatfield?AA Hatfield's father's name was Daniel Henry Hatfield, born 1805, of Plainfield, Essex, New Jersey. His father is unknown, but his first son was Archibald Allen, and his second son was Henry.Perhaps Henry was his Archibald Allen Hatfield's grandather?
Sooo... I started searching for a Henry Hatfield in Essex, New Jersey.Turns out, there was an Elias Hatfield born 1726, in Elizabethtown, Essex, New Jersey.
WELL, Archibald Allen and Martha Hatfield's son's name was Eli.Could this be a clue to Martha's elusive father?
Again, I have absolutely no proof but I think this is worth exploring.I'd like to travel to the area and look but I live in England now so it won't be any time soon.
Thank you for reading this!
