You probably have all this info, but will post it for others who may be researching the same family.
Berryman (also Berriman) Allen
b. @ 1794 Pittsylvania, VA
d. 15 JUL 1863 and buried Log Lick Church Graveyard,Estill Co, KY (other: LDS: 1873)
father: Elkannah "Cain" Adams b. @ 1752 Pittsylvania Co, VA
d. @ 1806 Madison Co, KY REV WAR VET,served in Reuben Paine's Regiment
mother: Mary Ann Pigg
Elkannah and Mary Ann married about 1793 Pittsylvania, VA
After the death of Elkannah Mary Ann bought land in Clark Co, KY, farmed it and never re-married
most of the above from www.worldconnect.rootsweb.com
web site.
Berryman Adams had several wives:
Margaret "Peggy" lowery b. @ 1805 VA
probably married @ 1831 KY as children listed
began births in 1832.
Lucinda Fryer - m. her about 20 July 1813
Nellie Allen (also known as Ellender N. or Eleanor N.)
married 8 Nov 1825 Clark Co, KY
Cynthia Ann Maupin - m. 16 Nov 1843, Estill Co, KY
The 1850 US Census shows Berryman and wife Cyntha A.
Siblings of Berryman Adams:
Nancy b. @ 1783 VA died before 1880 VA
Sally b. @ 1788 VA died before 1880 VA
Minter (male) b. @ 1792 VA died before ? (1910?) VA
Mary A. Adams b. @ 1797 of VA
Byrd Adams b. @ 1798 VA
Lucinda (or Lucina) Adams b. @ 1805 VA (other: b. Spottsylvania,Va)
Aggy (female) b. ! 1810 of VA
John J. Adams b. ! 1812 of VA
Wonder if Aggy is Augusta?
Minter Adams married Rachel Howard on 12 Jun 1817 Clark Co, KY
Lucinda Adams married Henry Fritts of PA on 20 Dec 1815 in Clark Co, KY and they had 5 children.
Henry Fritts also married Ellen Edwards
8 children are listed with Berryman Adams and "Cyntha A."
on the 1850 Estill Co, KY Census - was the mother of them all Cyntha A. or one of the other wives?
This is not my family. Found no other information on Ellender,Eleanor, or Ellen N. Allen of Virginia.
Since Ellender Allen and Berryman Adams were married in Clark Co, KY I would search for her parents in that county
about 1825 - using the 1820 Census of the USA.
Allen being a common, not unusual, surname...may be difficult.Sometimes Church records and tax records are
helpful.
