Hi Robert, I am happy to hear from you and you will be happy you contacted me. Haha! I am a very good friend of Michael Ray Allee, grandson of William Morris Allee and grt-grandson of Ernest Elbert Allee, an older brother of Nonnie LaVern Allee Ramsey. As a friend, I began researching Mike's family history and found alot. To answer your immediate question, yes, William Elbert Allee was a son of Andrew LaFayette "Fate" Allee and his secomd wife, Elizabeth "Bettie" Allen. I have traced the Allee ancestry back to seventeenth century France.
William Elbert Allee and wife, Mary Mignon "Nonnie" Miller, had eight children that I know of.
1. Lennie Bettie Allee,1905-1997;2. Thomas Daniel Allee, 1907-1980; 3.Jessie Ella Allee,born 1910;4.Ernest Elbert Allee, 1912-1955;5.William Orval Allee, 1914-2000;6.Virgil Melvin Allee,born 1917; 7.James Ray Allee, 1921-1964; and 8.Nonnie Lavern Allee, born 1925.
Robert, are you on Facebook or do you have an email address? I have some old phots of Andrew Lafayette "Fate" Allee and Bettie Allen Allee. Also a family reunion photo circa 1908 of the then whole Allee clan.
I have also done a little family history on Nonnie Miller Allee. She was a daughter of John Fletcher Miller and Sarah Elizabeth Hopkins.
