I am a direct descendant of Elijah P.Allcorn and Nancy Hodge. My father, William I Alcorn, was the son of John Allcorn and the grandson of Ech. Allcorn who was the grandson of Elijah. My grandfather and great grand father are buried at the cometary in Caldwell, Texas. My father is buried at the Community Church on Long Point Road in Houston. (Notation on the spelling is that my fathers birth was recorded with one "L" and one of his brothers was recorded that way and one of his brothers was recorded with two "L") I have been to the cemetery in Washington County, near Brenham, where the Allcorn family plot is located and visited the grave of Elijah and Nancy. The person that has much information about the Allcorn family is Maxine Allcorn of Houston, retired librarian, her father was a brother to my grandfather. A book was researched by a Mr. Perry of Caldwell that gives a lot of information about the Perry family and there is a chapter about the early Allcorn family . There is also a monument in the Brenham cemetery to one of the Allcorn men, son or grandson of Elijah, I am not sure which. I hope this info helps you a little if you do not already have this.
