My grandfather Robert was born 1897 in Stirling Scotland [eqidistant from Glasgow and Edinburgh about 40 miles] Stirling being the ancient capital of scotland and historically important[WILLIAM WALLACE DEFEATED THE ENGLISH AT STIRLING BRIDGE. ROBERT THE BRUCE DEFEATED THEM AT THE BATTLE OF BANNOCKBURN ETC]
I HAVE DISCOVERED THAT MY GREAT GRANDFATHER NAME WAS CHARLES AND WAS MARRIED TO A HELEN BARRIE AND MAY HAVE COME FROM THE KIRRIEMUIR AREA OF SCOTLAND
