Amanda, Jim Allerdice alerted me to your posting. I'd suggest seeing the postings of Robert W. Allardyce in this forum. You appears to be referencing Robert A. Allardyce who married Laura Horner and who died 8-6-1900 in Independence, IA. If so, this is probably Robert Arbuthnot Allardyce, born 5-25-1845 Old Machar, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, son of William Allardyce and Jane Arbuthnot. I'll email you direct with more.
