William ALLAN b. Jan 1835, in Yorkshire, England.
He was single when he sailed from London on the "Victory" on 11 Dec 1861, for N.Z.
One relative thought his father was the 'Dean ALLAN' of Castle Howard, Nth Yorkshire.
This is all the details I have before his arrival in NZ. but I have considerable since & am willing to swap.
